Overview

OpenFLIS™ is a microservices platform capable of hosting data products within a secure, FedRAMP authorized service boundary. This allows our customers and partner organizations, whether government or commercial, to speed past the high cost, level of effort, and risk of achieving such an authorization from the JAB or sponsoring agency. For all businesses, but especially for small businesses, the risk of failure is too high – the difference between staying in business or closing shop. Synergetics’ moated platform relies on no specific type or domain of data, so it can be used for any data product that meets OpenFLIS’ criteria.

IN A NUTSHELL

OpenFLIS is a modern Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that hosts one or more data products per Federal customer (tenant) in a dashboard experience. OpenFLIS consolidates data from multiple sources, transforms it, and sits on Microsoft Azure’s deep learning (DL) capabilities for search. OpenFLIS unifies Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS) supply chain data into a standard experience for DoD users and secures data by roles and data classification. Designed as a microservices deployment platform, OpenFLIS offers mission owners benefits including:

a. central control of their users’ accesses and capabilities, powering zero-trust
b. syncing data products, introducing cross-compatibility and integration of systems
c. ai-powered search with natural language processing (NLP), pruning the cost of training
d. views and apis configured to model business needs on the fly, minimizing code changes
e. compliance with Federal cloud migration directives and FedRAMP, uplifting mission owners
f. maintenance of independent components, reducing breaking changes
g. analytics that capture patterns and insights, informing decisions
h. custom reporting and alerting, supporting the KPIs Federal PMs are responsible for

Select data sources, create product(s) based on definition files, define user roles, publish collated data via desired method(s) and view
usage artifacts. Secure, Claims-Based Security with flexible access control and a single sign-in across multiple products.

The criteria are simple:

• First, a data product must be comprised from one or many data sources.
• Second, the customer must designate a program manager who will serve as an administrator user and to customize the data dashboards to fit their organizational needs.
• Third, the sensitivity of the data must fall within the scope of JAB Moderate level for civilian agencies or DISA Impact Level 4 for DoD agencies.
• Fourth, products that require direct user data entry to be stored in real time without prior processing are not currently supported by OpenFLIS.

Synergetics provides training and help desk support for both the OpenFLIS™ platform and its end users. Our contract support delivers all products and services compliant with Government policies, standards, guidelines and best practices.
